There are a few different pricing methods a processor can use with each merchant:

Tiered - Card types bundled into “buckets” and surcharged if manually entered

ERR - Flat rate with surcharges and downgrade fees

Interchange Plus or “Cost Plus” - Passing the Interchange, Dues & Assessments straight on to the merchant and adding a flat percentage and/or per item fee on top.

We look at the card processing environment and habits of each of our clients and provide them with the best possible pricing for their business. Depending on how they process, total volume, average transaction size and equipment used, following a “standard model” of pricing across the board is not in the best interest of merchants.
